Cookies are small files that a website asks your browser to store. This page explains the theme’s reading cookie and how to manage browser storage.
Article reading cookies
After an article has been open for about five seconds, the theme may set a cookie named twp_read_ followed by that article’s ID. It stores the value 1 for up to six hours to reduce repeated counting. It is first-party, uses SameSite=Lax, and is HttpOnly. The Secure attribute is used when the site runs over HTTPS. The counter is an approximate total, not a count of unique people.
WordPress and service cookies
WordPress may use cookies for sign-in and administration. Hosting, security, advertising, analytics, or embedded content may use additional cookies if those services are enabled. Their names and durations depend on the actual services configured by the site operator. Review service notices and any cookie settings presented on the site.
Managing your choices
Your browser settings let you inspect, remove, or block cookies. Blocking cookies may affect sign-in or other features. Clearing a reading cookie may allow a later visit to be counted again. A service-specific consent choice, when provided, applies according to that service’s controls.
